Beef For SaleJon and I are excited to announce that we will have freeze beef available very soon. Some of the steers are already spoken so now is the time to reserve your beef by contacting Jon or myself.

Pricing:

Full Beef – $1.60 x live weight (we expect the steers to average about 1,100 lbs.)

You pay the processing charges. (See note on Processing below)

Half or Quarter Beef – $1.65 x live weight (we expect the steers to average about 1,100 lbs.)

You pay the processing charges. (See note on Processing below)

Processing:

All of our beef is processed through Edgewood Locker. Processing charges can vary per animal and can increase with the more packaging or speciality items you do such as beef sticks, beef patties or beef in gravy. (We personally love these three products because of the convenience.  Plus, Edgewood’s beef sticks are fantastic.) To give you an idea we had two customers last year that did a lot of processing and paid just over $200 for their quarter and $380 for their half beef. If you need help deciding how your animal should be processed (thickness of steaks, how many roasts should you get, etc.) will would be more than willing to lend a hand.

How much beef will I get?

Meat from a typical half beef (from 1,000 – 1,200 lb. animal) consist of approximately:

12 T-Bone Steak (3/4” thick)
12 Ribeye Steak (3/4”)
7 Top Sirloin Steak (3/4”)
2 Sirloin Tip Roasts (3lb)
16 Round Steak (3/4”)
9 Chuck Roast (3lb)
3 Arm Roast (3lb)
3 Rump Roast (3lb)
4 pkg Short Ribs (1.5lb)
1 Slab Back Ribs (2lb)
8 pkg Stew beef (1lb) (can be ground)
5 pkg Soup Bones (1.5lb) (can be trimmed)
4 pkg Boiling Beef (1.5lb) (can be trimmed)
80-100 lb ground beef

(Variety meats, if desired, such as liver, heart, tongue, and oxtail. Brisket & Flank will automatically be ground unless requested.)

About the Cattle

Hereford Beef for Sale

All of the animals are fed a combination of corn and hay, and have access to pasture. They are kept in an extremely large paddock with lots of area to roam. Antibiotics are only used on our farm when an animal becomes sick, and we consult with our veterinarian about the best treatment methods. We are very proud of the quality of beef that we raise and constantly hear “this is some of the best beef we have had” from our customers.
