If it weren’t for deadlines!

The vast majority of the time it feels like I wouldn’t get much done if it weren’t for a deadline when it comes to the dreaded paper work! Yesterday was the deadline to get Beef Expo entry fees and registration papers sent to the sale managers. Mike and Becky Simpson have been the sale managers ever since I started to sell at the Expo (so at least three years) and have helped me out numerous times with reminders of my tardiness. This year was no different other then I have really really good stuff to give them this year! In addition to the pictures that you have been able to check out on here for the past almost week, I also purchased the back cover of the Expo Catalog. The catalog in the past has had a black and white cover and in our board meeting Mr. Simpson said that it would cost $125 for a four color cover… I don’t know about you but when I get a black and white sale catalog in the mail I might maybe give it more then a glance, but for most after that glance it’s to the trash with that rag. So at that meeting I proposed that we sell the back cover to consignors to cover the cost of the four color cover. Wouldn’t you know I was the one to purchase the back page this year. Hopefully the plan works and I get some interest built in my little girl and if not at least I have the warm feeling inside knowing that I might have gotten our sale catalog and additional glance or two!

This is the picture of Serena that will be gracing the back of the Expo Catalog.
