I’ve got The Expendables on the TV and plenty of food to keep me full. Life has switched from the hectic pre-sale pace to around 6 mph in a cornfield.
The Star Lake sale was great and one that will be tough to top. The Lot 104 bull was just as good as advertised. He is definitely aptly named as he will send Shock Waves through the Hereford industry. The heifers in this sale were awesome as well with the high seller being an awesome May baby out of one of if not my favorite cows on the ranch Olivia. It was also great to reunite with all of my Hereford friends the night before the sale at our social.
Right after our sale I rode down to Langfords for the first Langford/Perks Production Sale. They had a great set of cattle and the sale went really well. I went down to try and get the Lot 4 flush bought. Lot 4 is a full sister to the bull that I recently purchased and has been the subject of multiple even sometimes heated debates and I was going to be damned if I didn’t get this flush. When the gavel hit I had the winning bid and could not be more excited to see these calves the spring of ’13!
Well I am missing most of this movie while I type this so I’m am going to sit back take the tractor another round and watch Stallone blow stuff up!
